Used candles and liter pop bottles?

The 8th and 9th grade Science class is looking for 50+ used taper-type candles.  You might have stubs from Halloween or Christmas or, perhaps, your church throws them away.  Also, the class is looking for clear 2 liter pop bottles (50 – 100).   Please send whatever you can spare with your student to school and drop them off in Mrs. Peterson’s room #B137.

Chamber of Commerce Annual Meeting/Dinner

The Starbuck Area Chamber of Commerce will be holding their annual meeting on January 30th of 2010. Dinner and meeting will be at the Starbuck Community Center. There is a 50% discount on membership fees for first time members. The meeting will begin with a social hour at 6:00 and dinner being served at 6:30. Girl and Boy Scout Fundraisers

The Pope County Boy Scouts will host a Spaghetti Dinner on Saturday February 6th from 5-6:30 p.m. at the Minnewaska Area High School Cafeteria.  The Girl Scouts will host a Pancake Breakfast on Sunday, February 7 2010 from 7:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at the Glenwood Senior Center.  The cost is $6 for Adults and $4 for children ages 10 and under for each fundraiser.  Any scouts wearing scout insignia will receive a .50 discount.

Church Basement Ladies
